Details of 5 Days Rwanda Uganda Gorilla Experience Safari

Day 1: Arrival/Kigali airport – meet greet – transfer to Kinig – overnight

Arrive at Kigali International airport where our driver guide will receive you from – he will later transfer you to Kigali which is Rwanda’s capital for a briefing and lunch. After that drive to Volcanoes National Park Via Musanze: it is among the widespread Virunga Mountains along with Bwindi Forest in Uganda and the Virunga in Congo which have a several peaks of Bisoke, Karisimbi, Muhabura and Sabyinyo. It is also a home to the rare Mountain Gorillas, dinner and overnight. (Meal Plan on F/B)

Day 2: Virunga Volcanoes – Gorilla tracking – evening community experience

On this beautiful day after your breakfast drive to the headquarters of the park, while there you will have a briefing from the ranger guides concerning gorilla tracking. Later start trekking the gentle giants through the Volcanoes Forest. Meeting the gorillas will be the most thrilling experience as you will be amazed at the Silverbacks. It will be a great time watching the gorillas play, communicate to each other and the mothers feed the young ones. In fact, today will be your day to view and learn a lot about the gentle giants. Strictly one hour is spent with the gorillas, so make sure utilize your time with them. Return to the lodge, dinner and overnight (Meal Plan on F/B)

Day 3: Golden monkey tracking/Dian Fossey’s grave – transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You might visit the attractive golden monkeys and take walk to Dian Fossey’s grave or just choose other activities like visiting local community projects and schools or choose to hike Muhavura or Bisoke volcanoes. Have dinner and overnight. (Meal Plan on F/B)

Day 4: Bwindi – Gorilla trekking – free evening/community experience

An early wake up for breakfast thereafter drive to the park headquarters, be brief and go through the mist Bwindi Forest as you trek gorillas, it is an amazing time added with great views of the Silverback and other wildlife species in the forest.

Upon meeting the gorillas, you will have only an hour with them. Later head back to the lodge and in the evening have a walk through the community of the indigenous Batwa people where you will learn a lot about their culture have dinner and overnight. (Meal Plan on F/B)

Day 5: Return to Kigali-Rwanda – depending on your time – city/genocide memorial visit -depart

Have an early breakfast and after that bid good bye to the great Bwindi Forest and drive back to Kigali where you will have lunch and after your guide will transfer you to the Airport for your flight back home. (Meal Plan on B/L)

Overnight stay options:

If staying in Entebbe, please request assistance at the time of booking this safari to allow us ample time to make arrangements. If departing Entebbe, the same night, please note’ both by use of charter flight or by road’ returns to Entebbe are always late afternoon (approximately 16h00), please DO NOT book flights departing prior to 20h00 or 22h00 respectively in order to allow time for security, check in and if any delays due to weather.
